The mother of movie star and producer Tyler Perry died on Tuesday after a long illness. The announcement of her death was posted on Perry’s blog. Perry credited his mother as the inspiration for the character he's most famous for, Madea.
“Willie Maxine Perry. February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009. Thank you for all your prayers,” a message posted on Perry’s website said Tuesday.
